Senior Kristin Cupido (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) has agreed to do a daily diary of Kutztown's experience at the NCAA Division II Cross-Country Championships in Louisville, Kentucky. Here's her third entry:
So, today was a pretty relaxing day. We had breakfast in the morning and then had time to rest for a little before heading to the cross-country course around 11am. We got our pre-meet workout done. Fortunately, the weather was cooperative today! We stopped for lunch on the way back at Subway or Jersey Mike's Subs, they have the best subs there!! The rest of the day before dinner was spent catching up on homework, playing some games in the Student Lounge, or taking a nap.
Some of our parents arrived and we gave them a tour of the hotel. Dinner was at Martini's Italian Bistro and was delicious!! We even got to get our picture with Santa's reindeer :) It was Jayme's birthday today and while she wasn't looking, we got a marble cake from Walmart. She was very surprised and the cake wasn't bad either!
We ended the day off right with a great motivational talk from Coach Ray Hoffman and prepared for race day tomorrow. Some of us had too much cake and decided to make different hairstyles with the help of some water bottles. All in all it was a great day and we are very excited to race tomorrow (in the snow)!! A special thanks to everyone who have supported us the entire season and good luck to the track and field team tomorrow at their first meet at Bucknell!
