CANTON, Ohio (March 11, 2010) – Two more school records fell as the Kutztown University women’s swimming team continues to put the exclamation point on an outstanding season. Steph Jeppesen set a new school standard in the 400 individual medley and was a member of the record-setting 400-yard medley relay team. (NCAA SWIMMING PAGE)

In finishing 20th in the 400 IM, Jeppesen shattered the mark she established earlier this season against Alaska-Fairbanks. Jeppesen swam 4 four minutes, 33.39 seconds to easily lower the old mark of 4:37.72. This is the second consecutive day that Jeppesen has established a school record. She set a new standard in the 200 IM on Wednesday.

Later in the morning, Jeppesen teamed with Nicole Hinsdale, Alison Sheely and Jordan Shapiro to place 18th in the 400-yard medley relay in a record-setting time of 3:56.49. That lowered the mark by .37 seconds. The old mark was 3:56.86.

The Golden Bears continue their assault on the Kutztown all-time swimming list and the NCAA championships on Friday and Saturday when the meet continues.

More information to be posted later.
