Kutztown falls to West Virginia Wesleyan

BLOOMSBURG, PA (April 17, 2010) -- The Kutztown University women's tennis squad dropped their match against West Virginia Wesleyan on neutral grounds at Bloomsburg University Saturday afternoon. Kutztown lost by a 5-4 decision.

In singles, Kutztown (9-8 overall, 3-2 conference) claimed three victories. Rohini Das won 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 1 singles. Ridhima Borooah, in No. 2 singles, went 6-7, 7-6, 6-1 for the KU win. In No. 3 singles, Sabrina Arnaud won 6-0, 6-2.

In doubles, Kutztown's tag team of Das and Borooah won 8-3.

The Golden Bears, who clinched a spot in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) playoffs last Thursday, will play the last game of their regular season tomorrow, at Bloomsburg, against University of Charleston at 10:30 a.m.
