Golden Bears track and field finishes on solid performances

SHIPPENSBURG, PA (April 24, 2010) -- The Kutztown University men's track and field team enjoyed a satisfying day at the Paul Kaiser Invite on Saturday. Kori Meshaw won first place in the 400 meter hurdles in 53.98 seconds and several Golden Bears placed within the top five of their events. (MEET RESULTS)

Kendel Dixon sprinted second across the finish line in second place of the 400 meter dash in 48.99 seconds. Also finishing in second was the 4x400 Meter Relay team consisting of Matt Cannell, Eli Weeks,
Meshaw and Dixon. They finished with a time of 3 minutes, 19.79 seconds.

The Golden Bears also had several athletes finish their respected event in third place. Cannell finished the 200 meter dash in 22.66 seconds. Weeks ran the 800 meter run in one minute, 53.63 seconds. In the 110 meter hurdles, Shane Harvey finished in 15.27 seconds. 

Percell Berry
had a clearance of 14-4 in the pole vault. Greg Senatore threw 156-66 in the hammer throw. Jack Iosue threw 198-33 in the javelin throw. The 4x100 meter relay team consisting of Greg Crawford, Dixon, Berry and Cannell also placed third with a time of 42.64 seconds.

The Golden Bears return to action at the Princeton University Invitational held in Princeton, N.J. next weekend, Saturday, May 1.
