KU golf in second after first day at PSAC Championship

HERSHEY, PA (April 24, 2010) - Mindy Glatfelter shot a career-low to help the Kutztown University women's golf team finish the first round of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship in a tie for second place on Saturday. (Complete Results)
California (PA) shot a 303, followed by Kutztown and Clarion at 326. West Chester (330), Gannon (336), Mercyhurst (347) and East Stroudsburg (375) round out the standings.
Glatfelter, Samantha Rumbley and Chelsea Corbo were seperated by a stroke apiece on the 5,777-yard, par-72 Hershey Country Club.
Glatfelter recorded a 41 on the front nine and improved to 38 on the back to shoot a 79 and place tied for seventh, followed by Rumbley at 11th with an 80 (40-40). Corbo bounced back from a 45 on the front with 36 on the back nine to finish tied for 14th. The 36 by Corbo tied for the lowest nine-hole score on the day with individual leader Karen Cash of East Stroudsburg.
Nina Antos, tied for 21st after turning in an 86, which included a 40 stroke effort on the back nine. Morgan Todd gave another solid performance for the Golden Bears, carding a 90 and finishing tied for 24th.
The Golden Bears will finish off the the PSAC Championship on Sunday afternoon with team times starting around 11 a.m.
