Germani nabs PSAC Field Athlete of the Week honors

KUTZTOWN, PA (May 12, 2010) – Justin Germani of the men's outdoor track and field team was named the Pennsylvania State Atheltic Conference Field Athlete of the Week.

Germani garnered the conference honors after taking first place at the Kutztown Invitational on Saturday in the pole vault. He cleared 16 feet, 3.5 inches which earned him the top seed heading into PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

At last season's conference championship, Germani placed third in the pole vault to earn All-PSAC honors.

Germani and the Golden Bears will look to improve on last season's sixth place finish at the conference championship this weekend. The three day event will run from Wednesday May 13-15 at West Chester University.
