Cupido places among the top on the first day of PSAC Championships

WEST CHESTER, PA (May 13, 2010) - Kristen Cupido placed eighth on the first day of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships on Thursday afternoon at West Chester's John A Farrell Stadium. (Day 1 Results)

In the 10,000 meter run, Cupido finished with a time of 37:54.45 finishing just a few seconds behind Shippensburg's Sarah Strayer. Becca Brandt (Cleona, PA/Cedar Crest) finished just outside the top eight, with a time of 38:34.65 to finish in 10th.

The first day of the conference championships only saw the men's and women's 10,000 meter run. The rest of the events will be conducted over the Friday and Saturday.
