KUTZTOWN, PA (August 2, 2010) - The Kutztown University football team's starting quarterback Kevin Morton (Abington, PA/Abington) sat down for a question and answer session at the 2010 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Media Day. Morton played in eight games and started in the final seven at quarterback during his freshman campaign. He
completed 56.3 percent of his passes (160-for-284) and finished with 1,921 passing yards and 15 touchdown passes.

Q: You had 300+ yards passing in two of final three games, was that a product of you feeling comfortable (finding rhythm and timing) with your teammates?

Kevin Morton (Abington, PA/Abington): It was definitely helpful getting toward the end of the season with more starts under my belt. After playing together with the same group for a few games things started clicking for us.

Q: What are you expectations for yourself after a year of preparing as the starting quarterback?

Kevin Morton (Abington, PA/Abington): I want to be a leader and a guy that the team looks to for big plays. Also I want to help the team win, especially for the older guys in their final season.

Q: What are your expectations for the team?

Kevin Morton (Abington, PA/Abington): Our goal is obviously to win the PSAC East. We have a lot to prove week after week. On offense our philosophy is to go out and win that one game a week, I take that to heart.

Q: What was your favorite moment on the field? Off the field?

Kevin Morton (Abington, PA/Abington): On the field, my favorite moment last year was the touchdown pass to the corner of the end zone against Indiana. Off the field, I like being in the film room with the guys. We build a tight relationship being in there, it's great.

Q: What are you looking forward to the most this season?

Kevin Morton (Abington, PA/Abington): I am looking forward to being back with the guys on the field. Right now, week one against St. Anselm is my focus. I just can't wait to get the season started.

Q: Who do you room with on road games? What is a typical night before a game on the road?

Kevin Morton (Abington, PA/Abington): I roomed with Shane Martin (New Holland, PA/Garden Spot) last year and we used to have a lot of fun. He would ask some of the guys what room they were staying in, then he would call their room and hang up when they picked up. This year I will probably be rooming with Marshall Vogel (Hatboro, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) and I plan to keep the prank call tradition going.

Q: Do you have any pregame rituals?

Kevin Morton (Abington, PA/Abington): I don't really have any rituals. I like to wear the same wrist bands for every game, nothing unusual. I get a little mad when one of them breaks or gets stretched out.
