HARRISBURG, Pa. - After winning the program's first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championship in the Golden Bears' 96-year history, the Kutztown University football team was honored in Harrisburg in the State Senate during the morning session on Wednesday.
The team arrived at the Capitol around 10 a.m. and had a photo taken with Senator Judy Schwank before entering the gallery to be recognized by the Senator. At lunch, head coach Raymond Monica was presented with a letter from Governor Tom Corbett by Maria Montero, the Governor's Director of Latino Affairs and Commission for Women.

Additionally, Kutztown set school records for points (487), passing touchdowns (41), total touchdowns (68), rushing yards (2,576), and total offense (6,048) last year.
