KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Hours after moving up one spot to No. 13 in the NSCAA Division II National Rankings, four positions shy of its highest-ranking in program-history, the Kutztown University women's soccer team matched the program-record for victories in a season as it shutout Bloomsburg 3-0 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Quarterfinals on Tuesday afternoon at Keystone Field.

Just three days after setting the program-records for regular season victories (15) and PSAC wins (13), KU (16-3) matched the 2011 team's record for victories in a season. Winners of eight in a row, the Golden Bears are one win shy of tying its program-record nine-match winning streak from 2014.

The second seed, Kutztown advances to its fifth PSAC Semifinal in the previous eight years and will face six-seed Gannon on Friday, Nov. 4 at 1:30 p.m. at West Chester as it looks to advance to the PSAC Championship game for the fourth time in eight years. The Maroon and Gold defeated the Golden Knights in an absolute thriller just over two weeks ago on Oct. 15 with Cara Griffith (Dickson City, Pa./Scranton Prep) netting the game-winner with just 2:17 remaining.

Unbeaten West Chester, who is the top-seed and hosts fourth-seed East Stroudsburg in the first semifinal at 11 a.m. on Friday, remained No. 3 in the NSCAA National Rankings. The winners of the two Semifinals meet in Sunday's 1 p.m. Championship.

Alaina Curry (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) became the sixth Golden Bear in program history to score 25 career goals as she opened the scoring in the sixth minute. Freshman Maddie Mohr (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown Area) found her fellow classmate Ashley Engler (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) with a through ball into the box and she crossed it across the face of net to a streaking Curry, who chipped her one-timer just over the outstretched Bloomsburg goalkeeper 5:10 into the contest.

Her sixth goal of the year, Curry has now scored at least six goals in all four of her collegiate seasons. She moved just one score shy of moving into the top-10 of the PSAC for goals this season.

Engler recorded her second assist of the season on the play, while Mohr moved into second place in the PSAC with her seventh assist of the year.

That was just the beginning of a career-day for Mohr, who began her postseason career by tying her career-high with a five-point performance after scoring two second-half goals to help KU pull away.

The first of those two goals came 11:02 out of the half as Kaylee Kupiec (Deptford, N.J./Gloucester Catholic) found Emily Zwiercan (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico) on the edge of the right side of the box. Zwiercan controlled the ball, turned and dribbled past a defender to unleash a cross to the center of the box to a waiting Mohr, who composed herself with one dribble before blasting her shot into the top netting.

With the assist, Zwiercan moved one behind Mohr for the team-lead with six, which puts her in a tie for fourth in the PSAC.

Mohr's second goal in the 71st minute was more of an individual effort as she possessed the ball at the top of the box and dribbled around multiple defenders before sending her shot into the corner netting for her third two-goal match of the season.

Now with team-highs of 25 points and nine goals, Mohr is second and fourth in the PSAC in the two categories, respectively. She has now recorded the most goals/points in a season by a KU freshman since Chelsea Bressler in 2008 (10G, 26P), who would go on to win PSAC East Rookie of the Year.

The three goals were more than plenty for the back-four of Cassie Schmidt (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall), Kristina Miller (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn), Katie Miller (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) and Erica Monte Carlo (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township), who combined to preserve Kutztown's 10th shutout of the campaign. The 10 shutouts rank second in the PSAC and are the fourth-most in program history.

Goalkeeper Jenna Bracken (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) faced just three shots as she was in net for her fifth shutout, which ties teammate Imani Taylor (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) for fourth in the PSAC.

KU outshout Bloomsburg (9-7-2) 20-9 and had a 7-1 advantage in corners.
