Kutztown University Athletics

Career: During his career, Johnson made his mark on the Kutztown men's program. Last season, in helping the Golden Bears to 23 wins and a return appearance to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional, he averaged 9.8 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per outing. He also led the PSAC in field goal percentage (62.4). Johnson recorded 14 double-doubles and scored in double figures 36 times during his Kutztown career. Johnson has a pair of game-winning shots to his credit last year against East Stroudsburg and this season against Cheyney.

 2010-11: Johnson led Kutztown in scoring (15.9 points per game) and rebounding (8.9 rebounds per game). Those marks were 10th and sixth, respectively in the PSAC. He finished the season with nine double-doubles and 22 double-digit scoring games. Johnson led the Golden Bears in scoring 12 times during the 2010-11 season. He scored a career-high 30 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a 94-87 victory over Mansfield on Feb. 3. Johnson tied his career-high when he finished with 18 rebounds in a win over Goldey-Beacom on Nov. 23. He had a streak of 11 straight double digit games from Jan. 22 to Feb. 26. Honors: PSAC East player of the week twice. Named to Lehigh Valley Small College Coaches' Association Unsung Hero team and Team of the Year. All-PSAC East first team selection.

2009-2010: The Central Connecticut State transfer played in 27 games and averaged 9.3 points and 8.3 re­bounds. …Johnson led the PSAC in field goal percent­age (62.4) and was seventh in rebounding (8.3). …John­son’s best effort as a Golden Bear was during an 82-67 victory over Shippensburg on Jan. 23 when he scored 20 points and grabbed 18 rebounds. …Both efforts were career highs. …Johnson posted seven double-doubles. …He also grabbed 14 rebounds against Lin­coln, Pa. …He had four games in which he did not missed a shot (Chestnut Hill, USP, Goldey-Beacom and West Chester). ..Led the team in offensive rebounds at 3.6…Kutztown’s second leading rebounder…Johnson scored in double figures games 14 times this season. …Johnson made game-winning basket at East Stroudsburg on 2-15-10.
